We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Java and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design and implement cutting-edge solutions for retail systems, including e-commerce, inventory management, and customer engagement platforms.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive cloud-native adoption, lead technical teams, and ensure seamless integration of scalable and secure systems in a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement Java-based microservices and APIs to support retail systems like e-commerce, POS, and inventory management
Architect GCP-native solutions using GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Firestore, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to align business needs with technical architectures
Drive cloud migration strategies and oversee the transition of legacy systems to GCP
Lead technical teams in developing, deploying, and optimizing microservices-based applications
Define data strategies for customer insights, real-time inventory, and personalized user experiences
Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of retail applications
Mentor development teams and enforce best practices through reviews and technical guidance

Requirements

10+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise application development
3+ years of experience in cloud-native solution design on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Background in retail systems such as OMS, CRM, ERP, or e-commerce platforms
Expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes
Familiarity with event-driven architecture using Pub/Sub or Kafka
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Terraform, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build
Strong leadership and communication skills with proven experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with business leaders

Nice to have

GCP Professional certification (Cloud Architect or Cloud Developer)
Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
Expertise in data-driven retail solutions like recommendation engines and real-time analytics
Knowledge of front-end technologies or full-stack development
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
