We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team, specializing in the Murex MX.3 platform.

In this role, you will provide critical production application support, ensuring smooth operations within a dynamic financial services environment while collaborating with global teams to solve complex challenges.

Responsibilities

Provide production application support for the Murex MX.3 platform, addressing technical issues and incidents effectively
Apply incident, problem, change, and service management principles within an ITIL-aligned support environment
Investigate end-of-day (EOD) batch processing issues using EOD batch scheduling tools
Ensure clear communication with users to understand technical problems and provide updates during incident resolution
Leverage knowledge of asset classes and products such as FX, Fixed Income, and Derivatives to resolve system-related problems
Work on accounting support issues, including investigating missing or incorrect postings
Support front-office functions by addressing issues with rates, simulations, curves, and P&L modules
Create non-production environments from production sources as required
Collaborate effectively within onshore and offshore teams to resolve complex issues

Requirements

6 to 11 years of overall experience with strong Murex support experience in a production environment
Background in ITIL-aligned processes within a financial services context, coupled with expertise in EOD batch processing and batch scheduling tools
Skills in problem solving, team collaboration, and clear communication across technical and business stakeholders
Good knowledge of asset classes such as FX, Fixed Income, and Derivatives
Proficiency in accounting and front-office modules, including P&L, simulations, and curve management
Experience creating non-production environments by replicating production sources

Nice to have

Knowledge of source-control software for managing developments and deployments to Murex environments
Familiarity with SQL and UNIX
Prior experience leading a support team
