Senior Software Engineer - Markit EDM

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team and take a leading role in enhancing and supporting the Markit EDM platform.

This position combines technical expertise with leadership capabilities, ensuring high-quality development, implementation, and maintenance of EDM functionalities while collaborating across departments.

Responsibilities

Lead BAU initiatives and support business and technology teams in a client-focused environment
Take ownership of EDM development and integration projects while ensuring timely delivery
Mentor and guide a team of 8-10 members in EDM-related tasks and implementations
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues while maintaining incident/problem management standards
Maintain and support production and test environments with consistent quality control
Facilitate effective communication with clients, business users, and internal teams to align project progress and objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and drive solutions
Perform detailed analysis and implement high-quality EDM functionality to meet data integration objectives

Requirements

8+ years of experience working with EDM and SQL development
Strong knowledge of Markit EDM platform across data sets such as Market, Instrument, Party, Reference, Corporate Actions, and Historical Time-Series
Background in application support, including first/second line support ownership
Proficiency in communicating complex technical concepts with business users and stakeholders (Preferred C1/C1+ English level)
Understanding of project and team management in high-pressure environments
