Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our client, a prominent Wealth Management firm. As a member of a cross-functional Scrum team, you will play a vital role as a Senior Developer in a business capability POD.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain code to meet project requirements
Build back-end microservices and REST APIs to support business functionalities
Conduct unit testing to ensure the reliability and performance of the developed software
Collaborate with team members to conduct code reviews and ensure code quality
Follow best practices such as code review, unit testing, continuous integration, and other software development methodologies
Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies, including daily stand-ups
Actively collaborate with peers to foster a collaborative and productive work environment

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar field; Master's degree in Computer Science is a plus
6+ years of development work experience
Hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Framework
Good knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
Financial Services background in wealth management is not mandatory but considered a plus
Familiarity with Kubernetes and Jenkins
Comfortable working with different databases such as DB2 and MongoDB
Experience in developing and maintaining APIs
B2+ English level is required for effective communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders
