We require a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. Your proficiency in Java programming will contribute to the success of our projects and the continuous improvement of our software solutions. Responsibilities Developing software programs and utilities used in the Customer's company and ensuring that the latest software applications for trading related systems run properly Recommending software upgrades for existing systems Reviewing current systems and presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals Producing detailed specifications and implementing the program codes Testing the product in controlled situations and rectifying any problems before going live Using versioning control systems Responsible for the maintenance of the systems once they are up and running Requirements 3+ years of relevant experience BSc/MSc in computer science, engineering or any other relevant degree At least five years’ solid work experience in Java development Event-driven programming skills, databases, versioning control systems and software testing techniques at virtually all levels: unit, integration, system and acceptance Knowledge of REST API is a plus Experience in the financial services industry is a plus Proactive, sharp and efficient Problem solving and critical thinking skills Strong interpersonal and team working skills
