We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Cloud GCP Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a Senior GCP Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. If you have a strong background in cloud technologies and a passion for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our cloud-based initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain fault-tolerance, high-availability, scalability, and security on Google Cloud Infrastructure
Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated build and test systems
Manage production deployment using multiple strategies
Automate Google Cloud Infrastructure deployment with Infrastructure as Code
Automate system configurations using configuration management tools
Implement microservices concepts and best practices
Enable application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
Address issues promptly and respond positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
Carry out POCs to ensure suggested design/technologies meet the requirements
Learn services used in the environment quickly

Requirements

Background in production experience on public cloud with 5 to 8 years of overall experience including a minimum of 3 years on GCP
Expertise in GCP Services including Compute, Storage, and Data tools
Proficiency in GCP networking fundamentals VPC, VPN, Peering, and Interconnect
Knowledge of GCP security fundamentals including IAM and Service Accounts
Skills in container orchestration and GCR
Understanding of setup for Load Balancer, Auto Scaling, databases, and firewall rules
Experience with Backup and Recovery methodology on GCP
Capability to work with Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform
Competency with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Packer or Chef
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Unix/Linux administration
Qualifications in CI/CD pipelines and tooling like Jenkins, Circle CI
Showcase of cloud migration/modernization into GCP
Flexibility to use GCP migration tools like Migration Center and Database Migration Service
