Senior Cloud GCP Systems Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Cloud GCP Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a Senior GCP Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. If you have a strong background in cloud technologies and a passion for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our cloud-based initiatives.

Responsibilities

Ensuring fault-tolerance, high-availability, scalability, and security on GCP
Implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated build and test systems
Managing production deployments using multiple deployment strategies
Automating GCP infrastructure and platform deployment with Infrastructure as Code
Automating system configurations using configuration management tools
Implementing and maintaining microservices concepts and best practices
Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
Addressing issues promptly and responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
Carrying out POCs to validate that design and technologies meet the requirements
Quickly learning services used in the environment
Resolving technical issues to optimize project outcomes
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals

Requirements

5 to 8 years of experience with at least 3 years in cloud production environments
Background in GCP services including Compute, Storage, Data tools, Cloud Build
Proficiency in GCP networking fundamentals and GCP security fundamentals
Competency in container orchestration and GCP Container Registry (GCR)
Understanding of load balancing, auto-scaling, databases, and firewall rules implementation in GCP
Knowledge of backup and recovery methodologies and implementations on GCP
Qualifications in Infrastructure as Code tooling like Terraform
Skills in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Packer, Salt, Chef, or Puppet
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with Windows or Linux/Unix administration and Unix shell scripting (bash)
Proficiency in continuous integration and deployment pipelines and tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, Circle CI)
Experience in cloud migration and modernization into GCP
Knowledge of automated infrastructure discovery and leveraging GCP migration tools

Nice to have

Coding skills in modern languages like Python, Groovy
