Lead Systems Engineer (Cloud AWS)

We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Lead Systems Engineer (Cloud AWS) to join our team.

With a focus on automation, scalability, and microservices, this position is essential for improving our AWS-based solutions.

Responsibilities

Guide the design and implementation of AWS Infrastructure emphasizing fault tolerance, high availability, scalability, and security
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated build and test systems
Oversee production deployments with various deployment strategies
Implement automation for AWS infrastructure and platform deployment using Infrastructure as Code
Automate system configurations utilizing configuration management tools
Facilitate coordination of requirements, schedules, and activities to support application development
Address issues proactively and continuously enhance processes
Conduct POCs to confirm design and technology selections
Rapidly adapt and master new services within the environment

Requirements

8 years minimum experience, including 5 years in cloud and DevOps roles
Hands-on production knowledge in Linux or Windows system engineering
Proficiency in AWS compute, storage, security, network, and observability services
Advanced automation skills using AWS orchestration tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
Deep understanding and application of microservices concepts and best practices

Nice to have

Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes on AWS EKS or ECS
Familiarity with AWS database services such as AWS RDS, Cache, Read Replicas, DynamoDB
Scripting abilities in Linux/shell/Python/Windows PowerShell or familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible/Chef/Puppet
