Lead Java Developer

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Developer to join our client, a prominent Wealth Management firm. This position offers an exciting opportunity to participate as a Senior Developer in a cross-functional Scrum team, working on a business capability POD. With over 6 years of relevant work experience, including 1+ year of leadership experience, you will play a crucial role in the team's success.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain code to meet project requirements
Build back-end microservices and REST APIs to support business functionalities
Perform unit testing to ensure the reliability and performance of the developed software
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
Follow established practices such as code review, unit testing, continuous integration, and other software development methodologies
Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Contribute to estimation and planning sessions to ensure successful project execution
Mentor and guide other developers, fostering their growth and collaboration within the team

Requirements

6+ years of development work experience
1+ years of relevant leadership experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar field; Master's degree in Computer Science is a plus
Hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Framework
Good knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
Financial Services background in wealth management is not mandatory but considered a plus
Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Jenkins
Comfortable working with different databases such as DB2 and MongoDB
Proven experience in developing and maintaining APIs
B2+ English level is required to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders
