We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Java Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will drive the development and optimization of our Java-based applications and systems. As a key technical leader, you will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure the delivery of scalable, robust, and high-performing solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of Java applications using Java 8, Spring Boot, and SQL
Architect and implement scalable solutions using Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate
Guide the team in web development projects using Angular or React frameworks
Manage and optimize distributed storage systems including DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, and MongoDB
Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, primarily utilizing Git
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure coding standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and timelines
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in Java development

Requirements

8 to 12 years of strong programming skills in Java with proficiency in object-oriented design principles
Proven experience with Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate
Experience in web development frameworks like Angular or React
Knowledge of distributed storage systems such as DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, and MongoDB
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using Git
Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments

Nice to have

Previous experience in a leadership role is highly desirable
Certifications related to Java or relevant technologies would be an added advantage
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices is a plus
