We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to drive and enhance our CI/CD frameworks focused on GitHub Actions integration. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless development workflows, actionable automation, and robust application deployment pipelines across our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain GitHub Actions workflows, reusable workflows, and composite actions to improve CI/CD processes
  • Develop advanced YAML configurations using contexts, expressions, matrix strategies, action versioning, caching, and artifacts
  • Manage enterprise-level self-hosted runners, runner groups, and tackle network/proxy constraints effectively
  • Implement security best practices in CI/CD pipelines, including token least privilege, environment protection, and CODEOWNERS-required reviews
  • Containerize automation processes using Docker or Podman and deploy containers to repositories such as Artifactory, Azure Container Registry, or GitHub Packages
  • Troubleshoot and monitor container workloads deployed in serverless virtual environments like Azure Container Apps or GitHub Runners
  • Migrate dev tooling platforms from on-premise to SaaS by planning phased rollouts and stakeholder management
  • Configure Dependabot for dependency management across ecosystems, including grouping, scheduling, and handling security updates
  • Leverage Sonar tools for establishing quality gates, enabling branch/PR analysis, and onboarding projects effectively
  • Demonstrate expertise in Artifactory repository management for Maven, npm, PyPI, NuGet, and Docker registries, along with build-info retention
  • Utilize Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code tools to drive automation and configurations
  • Maintain reliable operations through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and conducting root cause analysis
  • Apply AI-driven GitHub Actions troubleshooting capabilities for infrastructure and configuration optimization
Requirements
  • 8-14 years of comprehensive IT experience, including over 4 years of specialized CI/CD engineering expertise focused on GitHub Actions
  • At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
  • Proficiency in authoring workflows using GitHub Actions YAML, contexts, matrix strategies, and reusable workflows
  • Background in managing enterprise self-hosted runners and tackling network/security constraints
  • Familiarity with containerizing processes via Podman or Docker and deploying them to repositories like Artifactory or Azure Container Registry
  • Expertise in managing Dependabot configurations, Sonar quality gates, project onboarding, and branch/PR analysis
  • Knowledge of Artifactory concepts, including repository permissions, retention, and replication for Maven/npm/PyPI/NuGet/Docker ecosystems
  • Linux fundamentals with skills in networking basics such as TLS/DNS/proxies and scripting in Python, Go, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Competency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/Ansible) and automation approaches
  • Capability to troubleshoot and schedule container workloads across serverless environments like Azure Container Apps or GitHub Runners
  • Showcase of experience migrating at least one significant dev tooling platform from on-premise to SaaS with phased rollouts
  • English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
