This position is relevant for immediate joiners only (should be ready to start by December 1st, 2023) and implies a hybrid work setup. Depending on the project, you will have to spend several days a week in the office. Our offices are currently located in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune, and Chennai.

We are looking for a remote Java Development Team Lead to lead our scrum team from development aspects.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar, with over 10 years of relevant production experience, including at least 3 years of team leadership experience. The candidate should have experience in designing and developing applications and APIs, with hands-on development experience, preferably full-stack development or experience with most of the following technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Jenkins, K8s, MongoDB. A financial services background will be a plus, as well as experience with cloud technologies such as Azure.

responsibilities
  • Define and develop guidelines, standards, and processes to ensure code quality
    • Ensure coding standards and other software development best practices are followed
      • Participate in architecture-related conversations
        • Conduct code reviews
          • Assist developers/engineers in resolving key issues
            • Review design and development plans
              • Develop critical components and frameworks
                • Work with stakeholders, including the Executive, Product, Enablement, and Design teams
                  • Identify technology issues, resolve them proactively, and communicate effectively
                    • Identify critical dependencies in advance and work towards resolution
                      requirements
                      • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar
                        • 10+ years of relevant production experience in Backend development, preferably using Java
                          • 3+ years of team leadership experience in Backend development
                            • Experience in designing and developing applications and APIs
                              • Hands-on development experience, preferably full-stack development or experience with most of the following technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Jenkins, K8s, MongoDB
                                • Familiarity with cloud technologies, such as Azure
                                  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
                                    • Client-facing experience
                                      • Strong organizational skills
                                        • Ability to deal with ambiguity and define structure
                                          • Attention to detail
                                            • B2+ English level

                                                  • This job is remote and requires the candidate to participate in a project that involves proactive hiring and background checks. The candidate should be able to work independently and meet project deadlines. Although the work schedule is flexible, the candidate must attend occasional team meetings and communicate with clients.
