Director – Delivery Management (Travel)

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Leader with a strong product development background to be part of our delivery team. This individual will be responsible for: 1) building engineering teams with a product mindset, 2) instilling a DNA of engineering excellence, and 3) fostering a continuous improvement mindset within the organization. This position will play a pivotal role in our ability to scale key account(s) in India. Ideally, this individual will be located in Gurgaon.

In this role, you will be helping EPAM Clients adopt a modern delivery approach to envision, design, build, deploy, and operationalize products & platforms. Particular emphasis is on engineering excellence, cultivating agile thinking, improving the flow of work using right engineering practices, automation, and cloud enablement. You will work with a global talent pool of Engineering leaders, Business Unit Heads, and the Senior Leadership team to deliver enterprise solutions for clients from various industries, to build talent pools to deliver projects and to contribute to pre-sales activities.

- Provide leadership and strategic planning to the Delivery Management function within EPAM India
- Lead and manage diverse project teams facilitating the delivery of software solutions while ensuring client satisfaction and project quality
- Maintain a primary focus on client engagement and on managing client expectations while ensuring the project's economic viability and success
- Foster Engineering Excellence within the teams - enforce best practices for software development and project management to facilitate high-quality, efficient project delivery
- Deploy your expertise, innovative capabilities, and market understanding to provide value and ensure delivery excellence
- Encourage Engineering Excellence as the standard working model, embracing modern delivery approach to envision, design, build, deploy and operationalize products & platforms
- Implement proactive strategies to improve client satisfaction and employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS), with a focus on reducing involuntary project attrition
- Encourage a culture of learning, ensuring adherence to key learning initiatives such as AI, Cloud and Engineering Excellence education
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams to support pre-sales activities, including project estimations and proposal development
- A Bachelor’s/master’s degree in information technology or a related field
- Overall, 20 + years of experience with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in project delivery leadership role within the IT services industry
- Hands-on experience leading large programs of 10+ feature teams
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in software delivery and project management
- Proven experience in customer relationship management, conflict resolution, and project escalation management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
- Prior initiative and responsibility for budgets, project delivery critical paths, and client relationships
- Solid understanding of the technology landscape and hands-on experience with digital technology initiatives
- An innovative mindset and a strong drive to stay up to date with the latest technological advancements
- Ability to solve complex, technical & business problems, partnering with a wide range of audiences
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
- Experience in working in high-pressure environment with tight deadlines, budget meeting EPAM standards
- Proven experience in influencing and negotiation skills to get management buy-in on ideas and concepts
- Relevant certifications in Project Management would be advantageous (PMP, CSM, SAFe, or similar)
- Experience in Travel domain is preferred
